A busy end to term 3...

We loved receiving our Duffy Books this term.

We have been learning about Firewise this term. We loved having a visit from Donna and Steve who added to what we had already learnt in class.

We are busy practicing our athletics skills. Our Cluster Athletics Day in Week 2 of term 4.
We are getting extremely good at using Numicon shapes to help us work out different tasks. We are getting a lot more confident at using them to also help us to work out problem solving questions.

We celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. At Netherby School we have an inclusive curriculum that integrates Māori language in all aspects of our learning, but this week we are having an extra focus on it. Room 7 started the week with learning about Flax (Harakeke) gathering protocols and learnt how to create a Fish (Ika). Take a look at our great fish and the writing we did.

We had more swimming lessons. We have all made such amazing progress having 2 weeks of swimming lessons this term.
We have been extending our PMP skills with the 2 lessons we have each week.
