Term 4 Week 2

We have been working extremely hard to learn our alphabet names and sounds and to spell our names by ourselves.
We got a treat for all the great effort we put in on Athletics Day. It was nice to sit in the sun and enjoy our ice creams.
We have been learning about directional language. We went up the ladder, across the bridge and then down the slide. We also did some fantastic writing about this.
On Wednesday we had Room 5 join us. We read stories about Elma the Elephant and created some great artwork. You can see this in Room 6.
We are great at working on tasks by ourselves while our guided reading groups are being taken.

Term 4 Week 1

We have had a busy start to term 4.
On Tuesday we had our Cluster Schools Athletics competition. Miss Patrick was very proud of everyone for trying their best. Thank you to all the parents who came to support us all.
We have been working really hard. We are loving having Mrs Tew to help us out with all the fantastic students we have in Room 6.
On Thursday and Friday we had a special visitor called Harold the giraffe come to school. He came to teach us about eating healthy, how our bodies work and keeping our teeth clean.
Mrs Tew came to school on Thursday with some beans for us to plant. We used the compost from our school worm farm to help our beans to grow. We learnt lots of new vocabulary such as 'bean pod', we wrote stories and are going to do some art work next week.
