Weeks 8 & 9

Week 9 - This week we had a earthquake drill so we know what to do if there was one. Four students got to visit Mr Wheeler with their superb writing.
We have been busy making artwork that reflects our school for a local shop to display. We made these panelled artworks that include aspects from all our cultures at Netherby School. Keep an eye out for this around town, you will find it somewhere special in term 3.

Week 8 - This week we have been working hard on our passing skills at Netball. We love getting outside in the sunshine.

We went to watch and support the Kapa Haka students. Room 6 was very impressed with how loud and in time the group was.
We were so proud of our Junior Jump Jam team who got 2 awards at the competition on Friday night. Everyone had a great time.

Term 2 Weeks 6 & 7

Thank you to all the parents and whānau who came to our display afternoon. The students loved showing their work and sharing their learning with you all.
We are loving our new furniture in the classroom. Our whiteboard tables are fantastic to work on during small group guided lessons as well as independently.
We had a The Eco Centre manager come to visit us about Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as a follow up of our trip to the Centre. We sorted rubbish and learnt more about how we recycle.
