Term 3 Week 8

This week we have been learning about growing plants. We love our New World Little Gardens and are taking great care of them by watering them and putting them in the sunshine.
We also went out to our School orchard to look at the fruit trees. We are hoping that they grow some delicious fruit this year. We also wrote about fruits and used the Māori words for apple, banana and orange in our writing.
We had a great time during Athletics playing fun games. We have been using the parachute to learn to work as a team.
On Thursday we had a math session outside. We had to show Miss Patrick how good we were at writing our numbers and names.

Term 3 Week 7

We had a fantastic Whānau Hui consult on Tuesday afternoon. Here is a video showing you what happened.

Room 6 have been learning about Story Telling. Miss Patrick has been trialling this new learning approach to help support the children to sequence ideas and to increase their oral language levels. This is us on our third practice.
